Heart Disease - What you can do - made simple. 

Dr. Alnoor Abdulla, Cardiologist, was born in Tanzania, East Africa. He received his M.D. degree from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 1975. His Residency in Internal Medicine was completed at UBC. His fellowship training in Cardiology (Invasive & Nuclear) was at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and at the University of Southern California (USC). Dr. Abdulla is Board Certified (ABIM) and has Fellowships in Internal Medicine, Chest Medicine, Cardiology & Interventional Cardiology both in Canada & the U.S. He has additional Special certification in Coronary CT angiography, X Ray & Nuclear radiation safety. He has practiced Cardiology for over 3 decades. He was recruited by the Aga Khan University to be the first Head of the Tertiary Cardiology program, which he established between 1994 and 1998. He has authored many peer reviewed publications and participated in multiple clinical trials. He has won dozens of awards and honors in the medical field and in the community at large, some of which include The Heart & Stroke Foundation award for Outstanding Service, Canadian Ismaili High Achiever’s award for Professional Development, Aga Khan Silver Jubilee Service Medal, The Governor General of Canada 125th Anniversary Medal for Service to Canada and The Nehru Humanitarian award – by UBC -Goel foundation. Dr. Abdulla has now retired from clinical practice, but is active in Cardiovascular education and Consulting for complex cardiac problems and in providing Medical Navigation on behalf of patients in Canada and Internationally. He has been bestowed the honour of Emeritus Member of the American College of Cardiology for his service to the Cardiovascular profession.
