The welcome visit of our District Governor and Deb was highlighted by the induction of our newest member plus 2 multiple Paul Harris Fellow awards.
The annual visit to our club was a special one as we were pleased to welcome a new member, Nazir Nenshi, and acknowledge 2 members as multiple Paul Harris Fellows. President Frank was one recipient and Janice Froese was the other. Janice is a special Rotarian because of her complete involvement in most of our areas of service. Her work with youth and service projects (both local and international) is outstanding. The Boots for Kids project is her main focus now that winter approaches. She is also the District Treasurer. The Foundation and District appreciates the generosity of these 2 members.
New member Nazir Nenshi was warmly welcomed in the traditional Deer Lake way after his official induction by DG Don Evans.
As a gesture of appreciation for their visit a donation of children's boots to our major fundraiser was made on behalf of Don and Deb.
